The second model in Yamaha's GC series grand pianos at 5'8 in length
Considered by some to be a 'boudoir' size it offers a richer and more resonant tone than the GC1
With a solid spruce soundboard, 88 keys and 3 pedals
Based on the same frame size as the more expensive Yamaha C2X grand piano
Japanese built, combining a great sound and touch with superb value
The GC2 offers the same build quality as its smaller cousin, the GC1. It is, however, considerably larger at 5'8''. The increased string length and soundboard area means that the clarity and tonal elegance of the GC1 is suddenly made more resonant, powerful and it projects extremely well. Ideal for those slightly larger spaces and cost wise is a significant saving over the more expensive C2X. Available in a range of finishes, from black and mahogany polyester to American walnut wood finishes.
The beautiful new GC2 combines the duplex scaling and rich tonal character of the Conservatoire C2 grand with cost-saving advantages in materials and production to create an instrument that's both exceptionally expressive and uncommonly affordable. With the full resonant tone only a grand piano can possess, the new GC2 provides superior performance at an affordable price.
