At 6'11 in length the Yamaha C6X grand piano is the same size as the legendary Yamaha S6 and Steinway Model B, providing concert quality performance at an incredibly competitive price. Sharing much in common with the smaller C5X, the C6X benefits from a solid Austrian spruce soundboard, but with considerably longer strings and larger soundboard area to produce an enhanced depth of tone, particularly noticeable in the bass. The design is inspired by Yamaha's incredible CFX concert grand, the very pinnacle of Japanese piano manufacture, with gentle sweeping curves and a pedal box designed for longevity, along with bespoke hammers and specially configured backposts to enhance stability and resonance.
Considered by many to be the ideal size of grand piano, the C6X with its revolutionary design is an incredibly capable instrument that is perfectly suited to the smaller performance space.
