    From Stock

The most compact grand piano model in Yamaha's lineup.

    • A popular choice for the home and school alike and great value for money
    • Based on the design of the revered Yamaha Conservatoire series grand pianos
    • 88 keys and 3 pedals including full sostenuto, with a solid Alaskan spruce soundboard
    • Also available as Silent or Disklavier

The Yamaha is the first model in Yamaha's grand piano range, and is as such the smallest and most compact model at 5'0 in length. Despite its compact dimensions it offers a surprising level of depth of tone, clarity and projection making it an ideal alternative to a U series upright if the space is available. With a design based on that of the industry standard C series grands the GB1K is produced in Yamaha's Indonesian factory to help keep the price competitive, a facility owned and managed by Yamaha and one of the most advanced and modern piano factories in the world. The result is a refine instrument that stands out as possibly the best 5'0 grand piano on the market, a great value choice for the home, education or theatre.

Like most Yamaha instruments, the GB1 is also available as a silent piano. With a flick of a switch, this system stops the hammers from hitting the strings and engages sensors under the keyboard to trigger wonderful concert piano samples which can be heard through headphones. This is particularly useful in practice situations where pianists might disturb family or neighbours, but the silent piano module is also USB compatible making it invaluable in the studio and opening up all sorts of interesting features when paired with software and apps.
